SR 43 SR 45

State Route 44 (SR 44, OH 44) is a north–south state highway in the northeastern portion of Ohio, a U.S. state. It runs from a southern terminus at State Route 43 in Waynesburg to a northern terminus at the entrance to Mentor Headlands Beach State Park near Painesville. spans from Painesville Township in the north to Waynesburg in the south.

The section of State Route 44 that runs north of State Route 2 is named for Lieutenant Corporal Andy Nowacki, a War on Terrorism soldier killed in action.[2][3]

State Route 44C

State Route 44C (SR 44C, OH 44C), a former alignment of State Route 44, is a 0.19-mile (0.31 km) connection with South Prospect Street and the State Route 44/State Route 5 duplex south of Ravenna. From State Route 59 (Ravenna-Warren Road) east of Ravenna, State Route 44 and State Route 5 run southwest and intersect State Route 14. The two routes then continue to run southwest and intersect South Prospect Street, which is running south. State Route 44C exists on South Prospect Street to connect State Route 44 and State Route 5 with South Prospect Street. State Route 5 then ends at the junction with Interstate 76. State Route 44 continues to run south until it intersects SR 43 near Waynesburg, its ending terminus.[1]
