107 The Bee is a Independent Local Radio station broadcasting to the town of Blackburn as well as eastern parts of the county of Lancashire, northern England. It won the licence to broadcast to this area in December 2004, and launched on 1 October 2005.

Andy Cook from the afternoon show recently took over from Martin Greenwood on the breakfast show.

It is joint-owned by The Local Radio Company, The Radio Business and Local Shareholders. The Bee operated two trial broadcasts in 2001 and 2002 to help win the licence.

Branding

The name and logo is a reference to the bee depicted on the coat of arms of Blackburn, symbolising the town's role in the Industrial Revolution.

The on air idents and themes were produced by U.S jingle company Jones TM.
