Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown

Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown

"Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown" is one of many prime-time animated TV specials based upon the popular comic strip "Peanuts," by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the CBS network in 1985.

Snoopy is performing guard duty, but gets sidetracked when he meets a beautiful girl (bearing a striking resemblance to the poodle, Fifi, in Life Is a Circus, Charlie Brown) and decides to marry her, with his brother Spike as his best man. However, she falls for the neighbor's dog (a golden retriever) and elopes with him. Snoopy is actually relieved at this turn of events, as he had been getting cold feet.

The special was based on a comic strip story in 1977, except in the comic: 1) Snoopy's bride-to-be is never seen, and 2) It was Spike she fell for and eloped with on wedding morning before, in turn, rejecting "him" upon their arrival in Needles and eloping with a coyote.
