Vinica ( _mk. Виница, audio-IPA|Mk-Vinica.ogg| [ˈvinitsa] ) is a town in the Republic of Macedonia, towards the Bulgarian border. It is known for its historic Roman [http://www.vinica.org/kale fortress] (Viničko Kale) on a hill overlooking the modern town. The town of Vinica is a seat of the Vinica municipality.
