:"Threefold redirects here. For the chess rule, see Threefold repetition."Threefold is an acoustic rock band based out of Everett, Washington. Ben Ekstedt and Matt Nystrom are the band’s two permanent, full-time members. Ekstedt sings lead vocals while drumming simultaneously. Nystrom provides guitar work and backing vocals along with comic relief.

In February 2004, Threefold traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to record their second full-length album, "Through the Torn Curtain". Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Mitch Dane produced the album. Guest appearances on the record include Matt Slocum, formerly of Sixpence None the Richer, and Jars of Clay members Stephen Mason and Aaron Sands.

Currently, Threefold is touring the nation in support of their latest record. As of 2005, they have performed in nearly a dozen states and have sold more than 1,500 records in the previous 12 months.
