Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic

The Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Tajik ASSR) was an autonomous republic of the Uzbek SSR in the Soviet Union. In 1929, it became the Tajik SSR and in 1991 the Republic of Tajikistan.
