Northern Territory v Mengel

Northern Territory v Mengel (1995) 185 CLR 307 is an Australian law case dealing with the conceptual framework of tort law. It holds that there is can be no cause of action if the defendant did not owe the plaintiff a duty of care and did not specifically intend to cause harm to the plaintiff. It overruled the decision in Beaudesert.
