Early life

He was born in the village of Chotala[1] on 2 April 1730, during the month of Ramadan. It is claimed that he did not eat or drink any thing until sunset. When his grandmother discussed this with Ahmad Fakeer, he claimed that Maharvi was not drinking milk because it was the month of Ramadan, and he was fasting. He had three brothers and one sister.

Education

When he reached the age of six,[1] he was brought to Hafiz Masood Mahar for Qu'ranic education. After finishing that education, he went to the village of Pheeda and then to Belana, where he was taught by Dera Ghazi Khan. He then went to Lahore and was accompanied by Haarat Mokam ud deen Serani. He was a beggar, and one night he fell in the dark and his clothes became filthy. He asked God for assistance, and from that day, he received sustenance from an unknown source and ceased begging. He went to Delhi and completed his education there. In Dehli, he taught up to Qutbi from Mian Barkhurdar Ji.

Meeting Hazrat Fakhar Jahan

He was depressed until one of his friends suggested he meet Maulana Fakharudin, a great scholar and Peerzada. Hazrat Noor Muhammad reached the house of hazrat Maulana Fakharudin and saw him sitting at a bed with a pillow. Hazrat Maulana sahib came off his bed and met Hazrat Noor Muhammad with great love and asked where do you live? Hazrat Noor Muhammad replied that his home town is near Maharsharief and requested Maulana Sahib to teach him, which he agreed to.

Mureed hona

Maharvi started to visit Hazrat Maulana Fakharudin as student. He was impressed by the knowledge of Hazrat Maulana Sahib and said "He was ocean of knowledge."[citation needed] One day Hazrat Maulana Sahib told Hazrat Noor Muhammad to not waste his time in apparent knowledge, but get into the knowledge he deserves. Then Hazrat Maulana Sahib made hazoor Quibla Alam his mureed at the tomb of Hazrat Qutb udin on the day of URS of hazrat Mahboob Ilahi.

Return to Mahar Sharif

After some time, hazrat Maulana Sahib ordered Quibla e Alam to go back to MaharSharief and benefit the people of his area. He came to Maharsharief and started guiding the humanity about the true path. Soon, his place became famous and even the Nawab of Bahawalpur became his Mureed. Around five hundred disciples accompanied him when he went to PakPattan. Hazoor Quibla e Alam had a great love for his Pir. He used to spend six months in Delhi and six months in MaharSharief.

Death

Just after the death of his peer, Hazoor Quibla e Alam, Maharvi became ill, and the disease continued to increase until he died on 3 August 1791. His tomb is in Chistian. He left three sons and two daughters.
