Note: The tape recorder that Dave gives Bill to use for his book has a recording of Dave singing "A Horse With No Name" by America. Curiously, when Phil Hartman was a graphic artist in the 1970s, he designed three album covers for the group. His brother John Hartman was America's manager for many years.

Jimmy's search for a wife has narrowed the list to 29. Loretta Swit is mentioned as having been crossed off. Guest stars Maureen Mueller as Jane.
