National Association of Cargo Transportation and Logistics

The National Association of Freight Transport and Logistics (NTC & Logistics, or simply NTC) is an organisation founded in 1963 by Orlando Monteiro and based in São Paulo, with a branch in Brasilia, Brasil. The association represents cargo carriers and Logistics. Originally they represented only road freight transport but they expanded to inclide other modal operators and logistics in the 1990s. It is responsible for the dissemination of the national index of costs of transport (INCT) calculated by FIPE/NTC, which measures variations in costs incurred of the transport sector throughout the country. It gives a prize annually to companies for providing the best services to transport businesses (vehicles, suppliers, and others), evaluating them through a satisfaction survey developed by Datafolha.
