National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is a nonprofit organization[1] based in the Alexandria, Virginia. It focuses on issues relating to hospice and palliative care. Its philosophy statement on hospice is that it "affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death."[2]
