Plot

J.D. and Turk try to make ends meet by moonlighting and stealing hospital supplies. When J.D. finds out that Turk cheated him out of $100 on a moonlighting gig, he is initially furious, but soon comes to understand that Turk is merely trying to make a better life with Carla. Meanwhile, the Janitor begins investigating the supply thefts in order to blackmail J.D.

Dr. Cox is uncharacteristically happy with his new girlfriend, Julie (Heather Locklear), but an unexpected complication emerges: a heavily pregnant Jordan, who has decided she wants him back. The ensuing competition between Jordan and Julie awakens Cox's dormant feelings for his ex-wife, who he eventually chooses over Julie.

Elliot meets a sorority-like group of OBGYNs ("The Gyno Girls") who want her to switch her speciality to gynaecology. At first, she is meek in refusing, but later finds the courage to defend her choice of career when her father comes to visit and pressures her to take the offer. As a result, her father cuts off financial support, leaving her to fend for herself for the first time in her life.
