Murphy's Law is the third studio album by American rock band Ghost of the Robot due for release on November 15, 2011 and will be available digitally on both Amazon and iTunes.

The band gave the fans an opportunity to guess the album name, while giving them a hint by revealing that it includes two words. They stated that the first word has 7 letters with an apostrophe before the last letter, the second word has 3 letters and the name also includes a hyphen between both words. After several guesses from the fans, the band then chose to pick their ten favourite names, and let the fans vote for which one to be used for the album name. This caused confusion amongst the fans as they initially believed the band had already named their album.

The 16-track album features a mix of the band's newest songs as well as a few that date back years. Marsters says that "Smile" was actually the first of his own songs that he played for De Mars. A trio of pieces that close the album was written by De Mars before the two met. Also featured on the album are several songs that stem from Marsters' work as an actor. "Alone," an A Capella number with a country twang, is inspired by the SyFy movie High Plains Invaders. "Moonshot" is based on his experience playing Buzz Aldrin in the TV movie Moon Shot. The band also notes that "Truth Is", has a bluesy vibe, many different types of guitar, consistent blues bass line, and raspy lead vocals.
