MSDK Convent School

MSDK Convent School Faqarsar is an educational institute. It is run by S.Gurpal Singh Jathedar and Charanjit Singh OSD.

The institute was inaugurated by S. Parkash Singh Badal CM Punjab with the efforts of Manpteet Singh Badal in memories of children who died in a van and train accident. The funds were collected in the form of compensation by railway Ministry and by the people of the village. Satpal Sharma was its first Principal. He worked hard to tone the institution and it got good reputation. The staff members were very dedicated. Mr. Avtar Singh (Honorary Principal) a retired Principal was given the administration of the institution, when the reputation of the school was in bad shape. He got the building repaired, doors and windows were installed, glass panes were fitted where required and he gave a new look to the institution. He gave stress to sports, games tours and all round development of the institution. He tried his level best but his efforts were fruitless as the Management were not taking interest and some of the staff members were having lusty interest. The institute has all facilities such as water-cooler, Nice building (land was donated by Dhillon family), Jhoolas, swing, Merry-go-round, furniture, (desk75,chairs 12,table 12,3 round table and 25 plastic mini-chairs, Office table, office chairs) Library, science lab. with science goods worth of Rs 15000.00, Generator, water motor, Rich store. A school van worth of Rs 120000.00, driver chowkidar sweeper and competent staff.

But due to establishment of SGPC Mata Gujri School Even the responsible member of the school persuaded the students to join the new school. Even the school furniture was shifted to the new school and the future of this institution hang in uncertainty. An institute of repute slowly vanishing its existence.
