Mozelj (German: Mösel) is a settlement in the Kočevje municipality in southern Slovenia. It was a village inhabited mostly by Gottschee Germans. During the Second World War its original population was expelled. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]

The local parish church, dedicated to Saint Leonard, belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novo Mesto. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1360. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 18th century.[3]
