Mount Korek (Kurdish: Çîyay Korek) is a mountain in Iraqi Kurdistan, 50 kilometres from Iranian border.

In 1973 President Ahmed Hassan al-Bakr ordered the construction of observatory of three telescopes,[1] though it has not been completed yet.
