Monitor Audio is a designer and manufacturer of mid-to-high range high fidelity loudspeakers.

Founded in 1972, Monitor Audio is based in Raleigh, Essex, England UK. The firm is known for loudspeaker design, continuing to provide a range of mid-budget and high-end speakers for music and film audio. Loudspeaker manufacturers tend to follow differing philosophies in trying to reproduce music accurately, which will lead to preferences in cabinet design, material used for the drivers (the moving parts which generate sound) and the use of ports to extend bass response. The most defining characteristic of Monitor Audio's range is a belief that drive units are best made from metals or combinations of materials containing metals, rather than using plastics, composite materials or paper-based cones.
