Meteorological disasters

Meteorological disasters are caused by extreme weather, e.g. rain, drought, snow, extreme heat or cold, ice, or wind.

Examples of weather disasters include blizzards, cyclonic storms, droughts, hailstorms, heatwaves, hurricanes, floods (caused by rain) and tornadoes.
