Metchnikoff Point (64°3′S 62°34′W / 64.05°S 62.567°W) is a point forming the west extremity of Pasteur Peninsula in northern Brabant Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. First charted by the French Antarctic Expedition, 1903–05, and named by Charcot for Elie Metchnikoff, Russian-born zoologist and bacteriologist, who succeeded Pasteur as director of the Pasteur Institute in Paris.
