Mendeleyev Glacier

Mendeleyev Glacier (71°55′S 14°33′E / 71.917°S 14.55°E / -71.917; 14.55) is a glacier, 10 nautical miles (18 km) long, draining northeast through the north outcrops of the Payer Mountains, in Queen Maud Land. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960–61, and named after Dmitri I. Mendeleyev (1834–1907), Russian chemist.
