Storylines

1995-1998

Dr. Chris Warner had been put in charge of the clinic while Michael was recuperating from his heart attack. He hired Tiffany Pratt =as a nurse. The two played a series of practical jokes on each other which culminated in a fake engagement. However, they called it off and decided to remain friends. Tiffany got involved with Dr. Billy Leech.

Tiffany and Billy became engaged, but their happiness was short-lived when Tiffany was diagnosed with hepatitis C. Tiffany believed that she had contracted the disease when she had suffered a needle stick injury. Carla, who was acting as head nurse while Ellen was away, saw the hepatitis as a chance to get Tiffany out of the clinic. Since Tiffany hadn't reported her needle stick injury then she wasn't eligible for ACC. Carla told Tiffany that she would forge forms saying that Tiffany had reported the injury, but only if Tiffany quit. Fortunately for Tiffany, Ellen returned. Ellen intervened and forged the forms herself so Tiffany could get her compensation payments. Billy then learned that a friend of his from Medical school had contracted Hepatitis C and had possibly passed it on to him as they used to do drugs together and shared needles. Billy had himself tested and learned that he had the disease. Realising that he had passed it along to Tiffany, a guiltridden Billy broke off the engagement and left town. Tiffany was devastated and turned to Chris for support. Soon the two were sleeping together.

In 1996, Tiffany married the love of her life Chris. The two planned to go to America together but Tiffany decided that Guy Warner should go with Chris and she would come later on. However when she did visit a few weeks later, she discovered Chris sleeping with Alison Raynor. The two divorced.

In 1997 Tiffany started a relationship with Johnny Marinovich but broke up with him when she believed he was a child molester. Tiffany fell into a coma as a result of her hepatitis and Johnny prayed for her to wake as he had discovered he loved her.

In 1998 Tiffany and Johnny finally got together after Tiffany recovered from the coma brought on by her hepititis C. They were surprised when Tiffany fell pregnant. After learning that Jenny had aborted Johnny's child more than three years ago Tiffany became convinced that Johnny only wanted to marry her for the baby's sake. However, Johnny and Jenny managed to convince Tiffany that Johnny really did love her and the two were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Marinovich Vineyard. Johnny was elated when Tiffany became pregnant. While trying to help a suicidal patient, Tiffany slipped and fell from the roof of a high-rise building. The accident left her horribly injured and braindead, and devastated husband Johnny had to make the difficult decision to keep her on life-support until the baby was born. The baby, a girl is born early but healthy. Johnny names the baby, Maria after his mother. Johnny and Maria left Ferndale some time later.
