Mehmet Celebi is the former Turkish president of the Turkish American Cultural Association.[1] He is a fellow with the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding and an expert on US Turkey Relations. [2] He was a fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton, he also produced television programs and motion picture films and was accused of links to a controversial movie about Iraq.[3]
Celebi serves on multiple boards including the Dean's International Council of the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago [4]. He is an organizer of Fashionable Istanbul and assists in attracting direct foreign investment in Turkey.[5] Celebi also served on the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on "Strengthening America: The Civic and Political Integration of Muslim Americans". Celebi is the co-founder of the Turkish-Greek Friendship Committee.[6]
