(25)Matt Evans is a Canadian international rugby union player. Matt Evans is a utility back and has played in various back-line positions including fly-half, centre, wing, and full-back.
Evans competed at the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship representing Canada. He played five games and scored two tries, one versus Scotland and one vesus Australia. Evans made his international debut for Canadian senior men's team in 2008 versus Ireland.
He joined the Welsh regional team Newport Gwent Dragons in the Magners League in June 2010[1] but was released at the end of the season.[2][3][4]
On July 8th, 2011 Evans was selected as part of the 30-man Canadian squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.[5]
It was reported on October 21 2011 that Evans will join RFU Championship side Cornish Pirates as cover for the injured Wes Davies.[6]
