Marldon is a village in the South Hams in Devon, United Kingdom, lying just west of Paignton. It is the easternmost Civil Parish in the South Hams.[1] Its population is about 2,300.
Contents
History
Church records date back to 1598.[2] Marldon was a small village until the 1960s when major residential development took place.[3]
Marldon is known locally for its Apple Pie fair, which originated in the nineteenth century and was revived in 1958.[4]
Amenities
Marldon has a village hall which hosts a women's institute that meets monthly.[5]
