Malik (Punjab)

Malik is a surname used by the Punjabi Khukhrain(Khatri) and Arora communities living in Punjab or Delhi in India. They generally belong to the Kshatriya clan. The other type of Malik or Malak or Gathwala is gotra of Jats (Though those are usually from Haryana). Malik surnames are also used by some Rajput clans as a title.
