Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah or Historical Malacca City Council (MBMB) is a local authority which administers Malacca City and other areas of Central Melaka (Melaka Tengah) district. This agency is under Malacca state government. MBMB are responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of urban infrastructure. The MBMB main headquarters is located at Graha Makmur in Ayer Keroh.
History
Formerly known as Majlis Perbandaran Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah (MPMBB) (Historical City of Melaka Municipal Council). This agency was granted its city status on 15 April 1989.
