Dun Eala

Dun Eala

Dun Eala is a housing development on the outskirts of the market town of Fermoy in County Cork, Ireland. While the majority of residents of Dun Eala are Irish there is a large eastern European minority, predominantly Polish. Dun Eala lies on the elevated southside of Fermoy town roughly 2 km from the town centre. The Dun Eala housing development is relatively new having been built circa 2004, the housing development comprises terraced and semi detached houses and communal green spaces. There is also a small woodland directly opposite the estate. In recent years for easier access to and from Dun Eala a new road was built connecting the R639 road (Cork Road) to Dun Eala.
