Dori Spivak

Dori Spivak (Hebrew: דורי ספיבק‎, born 19 December 1968) is an Israeli LGBT rights activist and jurist. He was appointed to the bench of the Tel Aviv Labor Court on February 18, 2011. He is the first openly-gay judge in the history of Israel's judicial system.[1]

He is the former chairman of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel,[2] current deputy director of Tel Aviv University Buchmann Faculty of Law's legal clinics,[3] legal advisor to the Israeli Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Association, and is involved with the Adva Center. His life partner is fellow TAU faculty member Yishai Blank.[2]
