Doctors Hospital and Medical Center is a commercial hospital located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It claims to be an internationally recognized as an excellent health care institution due to its facilities, services and consultancy standards.[citation needed] The hospital has 250 beds and includes superdelux, delux and private rooms.
In late 2009, the hospital faced widespread media attention due to the case of death of a girl named Iman-e-Malik.[1] Soon afterwards, they were faced with even more criticism when 20 registered doctors of the hospital were suspended for showing negligence in the case of late Huma Wasim, wife of the retired world-renowned cricketer, Wasim Akram.[2]
