"Queen of the Night" is a song by Whitney Houston, and was the fifth and final single released from the "The Bodyguard" soundtrack album.

"Queen of the Night" is an uptempo rock-pop-dance track, with Houston expressing how she "rules the club scene", proclaiming herself "queen of the night". The song was co-written by Houston herself, the second published song she co-wrote. (Whitney's first official role as "songwriter" was for a track entitled "Takin' A Chance". The song was featured on the Japanese release of Houston's I'm Your Baby Tonight album, in 1990. It was also released as a single in Japan, where it topped the charts at #1. The song was later covered by contemporary Christian artist Kathy Troccoli.)

"Queen of the Night" was not officially released in America, but it received some radio airplay and appeared on the "Billboard" Hot 100 Airplay chart, peaking at number thirty-six. Because of "Billboard" magazine rules at the time, the lack of availability of a commercial single prevented the song from charting on the "Billboard" Hot 100. The song reached number one on the "Billboard" Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, becoming Houston's fifth number-one dance single. It was released in several other countries and became a hit in the UK, peaking at number fourteen.

The music video for "Queen of the Night" is simply the full performance Houston gives in "The Bodyguard". (The performance is interrupted during the film.)
