Lee Hyde

Gary Lee Hyde (born February 14, 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American baseball pitcher in the Washington Nationals organization. He formally played in the Atlanta Braves organization from 2006 to 2010.

Jeff Mandel

Jeff Mandel (born April 30, 1985) is a North American professional baseball player. He is a right-handed pitching prospect in the Washington Nationals organization. Mandel attended Baylor University and was selected by the Nationals in the 19th round of the 2007 amateur draft.

After being drafted by Washington, Mandel began his minor-league career pitching for the Vermont Lake Monsters in the short-season New York-Penn League. He was subsequently promoted to the low-A-level Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League. During the 2007 season he logged a total of 63⅔ innings in 13 starts and two relief appearances, winning 4, losing 7, and recording a 6.64 ERA while striking out 50 batters and issuing just 18 bases on balls.


Brad Meyers

Bradley Meyers (born September 13, 1985, in Santa Ana, California) is a North American professional baseball player. He is a right-handed pitching prospect in the Washington Nationals organization. A graduate of Servite High School in Anaheim, California, Meyers attended Loyola Marymount University. He was selected by the Nationals in the fifth round of the 2007 amateur draft.

After being drafted by Washington, Meyers began his minor-league career in 2007 pitching for the rookie-level Gulf Coast Nationals. He was later promoted to the Hagerstown Suns of the low A-level South Atlantic League and then to the Potomac Nationals of the high A-level Carolina League. In ten starts over the 2007 season, he pitched 40⅓ innings, compiling a win-loss record of 1-1 and an ERA of 1.56.


Derek Norris

Derek Norris (born February 14, 1989) is a North American professional baseball player. He is a catching prospect in the Washington Nationals organization. A 2007 graduate of Goddard High School in Goddard, Kansas, Norris was selected by the Nationals in the fourth round of the 2007 amateur draft.[1]

RISE Magazine named Norris its 2006-2007 Kansas Baseball Player of the Year.[2]

Norris spent the 2007 season with the GCL Nationals, Washington's affiliate in the rookie-level Gulf Coast League.

Hassan Peña (born March 25, 1985, in Havana, Cuba) is a right-handed pitcher in the Washington Nationals organization and currently plays for the high Class A Potomac Nationals.

In the Cuban National Series, Peña pitched for the Metropolitanos and the Industriales before defecting from Cuba. After attending Palm Beach Community College, he was selected by the Nationals in the 13th round of the 2006 amateur draft.[3]

Peña did not play in the Nationals' system in 2006. He spent the 2007 season with the Vermont Lake Monsters in the short-season New York-Penn League. In 13 starts, he pitched 59⅓ innings, compiling a win-loss record of 4-5 and an ERA of 4.25. In 2008 he pitched for the Potomac Nationals and the Hagerstown Suns, and in 2009 he pitched for the GCL Nationals and Hagerstown.

Rob Wort

Rob Wort (born February 7, 1989) is a Minor League Baseball Pitcher in the Washington Nationals organization, he is currently assigned to their Class-A affiliate, the Potomac Nationals.

Wort was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 30th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He attended Francis Howell North High School in St.Charles, Missouri. Following High School, he played two seasons at Jefferson College, where he had 15 saves in 2 seasons for the Vikings.[4]>

During the Summer of 2008 Rob played for the Duluth Huskies in the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate wooden bat baseball league.

Rob is currently represented by Platinum Sports and Entertainment.[5]

Zechry Zinicola

Zechry John Zinicola (March 2, 1985 in Loma Linda, California) is a pitcher for the Washington Nationals.

Zinicola attended Arizona State University. Zinicola was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 6th round (181st overall) of the 2006 MLB Draft. He was given a $147,500 signing bonus. He was acquired by the Blue Jays in the 2009 Rule 5 draft. The player had to stay on the MLB roster for the entire season, otherwise he can be offered to the original team for $25,000. March 17, 2010, Zinicola was offered to the Washington Nationals, who decided they wanted Zinicola and paid the Blue Jays $25,000.[6] Zinicola has been assigned to the Syracuse Chiefs.
