David William Pyke

David William Pyke: David William Pyke (born 1969-) is an Australian born composer. His works include the Ballet of the Matryoshka Dolls and his Symphony no.4 Great Barrier Reef as well as numerous other works for chamber and orchestra. Symphony no.1 in D minor was first performed in Mackay, October 2004 at the Mackay Entertainment centre. In 2003, a selection of his works were performed by members of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Phiharmonic orchestra in Durban, South Africa. The Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra of Bulgaria is scheduled to premiere and perform the orchestral work, Ballet of the Matryoshka Dolls on 30 June 2011. This concert organised by Serdica Music of Sofia Bulgaria. Chaconne Music is the publisher of his work and they are catalogued in the National Library of Australia.
