David Harper (antiques expert)

David Kingsley Harper (born 1967) is a British TV antiques expert and published writer [1]

He appears on Bargain Hunt,[2] Put your Money where Your Mouth Is, Cash In The Attic and The Antiques Road Trip. He has been featured on Through The Keyhole, Ready Steady Cook and presented pieces for The Heaven & Earth Show, The One Show, Inside Out and Countryfile Summer Diaries.[3][4] His first TV role was in 2005 as presenter of Channel 4's Natural Born Dealers.

In April 2010 he won the first series of BBC 2's The Antiques Road Trip, raising £2488 for Children in Need from a starting budget of £200. He is managing director of Kingsley & Co Antiques, an antiques, upholstery and restoration business. He also has an antique shop at 10 The Bank, Barnard Castle.[5]

He lives in Barnard Castle, in Teesdale, County Durham. He has lived and went to school in Zimbabwe, run an antique business in the USA, shipped antiques to and from the States and at the age of 25 was one of the youngest directors of a PLC company in Britain, importing antique style rubberwood furniture from the Far East [6]
