Danny Page

Danny Page(born 23 August 1987) is currently the Head Men's Basketball Coach of the Bundaberg Bulls in the Queensland Basketball League. Danny is also the founder and Head Coach of Danny Page Basketball, a do it all basketball service based out of Australia. After 2 Interim Head Coach appointments he was signed by the Bundaberg Bulls for the 2012 season. Danny has experience previous as an Assistant Coach in the QBL, BIG V and SEABL professional basketball leagues. Danny was the youngest ever Head Coach in the ABA in 2005 at just 17 years old, and currently is the youngest Head Coach in the QBL.

Professional Basketball Coaching Career

2005 Danny's first position was with the 2nd year club Gladstone Port City Power Men as an Assistant Coach, early in the season the Women's coach resigned, the club appointed Danny as their Interim Head Coach, the team 0-20 the previous year was 0-7 when Danny took over, they finished with a 4-14 record.

2006 Danny returned to the Men's program at Gladstone as they made the finals for the first time. Danny is credited with the recruitment of Michael Kingma and Leon Perdue who both took home multiple National Awards for their season.

2007 Danny signed as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for the Ipswich Force in the QBL, during the season Danny resigned citing the need to focus on his duties with Ipswich Grammar School.

October 2010 Danny returns to Professional Basketball signing as Technical Assistant Coach and Scout for the Mount Gambier Pioneers in the SEABL, Danny is credited in the recruitment of CJ Webster and Fernandez Lockett, the star players on the team. After the team signed both players Danny signed as a Full Time Assistant Coach, several weeks after arriving Danny left the program claiming a contract dispute with the then Head Coach.

Days later signing with back to back QBL Women's Champions Gladstone, Coached by WNBA Player, International Player and a 6 time WNBL Champion in Jessica Bibby, during the season Bundaberg Bulls Coach resigned, Danny was appointed Interim Head Coach the team was 4-7 at the time of the signing, finishing out of the finals with a 9-9 record. Bundaberg have signed Danny Page as Head Men's Basketball Coach for 2012, the team will be returning 2011 QBL All Star 5 Member Will Shackleford.

Danny Page Basketball

Founded in March 2011, Danny Page Basketball started as Team DMD Basketball with Academies in Gladstone, Queensland and Bundaberg, Queensland. In October the same year the name was changed to Danny Page Basketball the company now offering: Academy Basketball Training, Individual Basketball Training, Team Sessions, Coaching Clinics, Individual and Team game review, Basketball Training Camps.

While partnered with other companies supplying: Player/Coach representation,US College recruitment exposure, basketball specific strength and conditioning, Sports Choreography for commercials, TV and feature film, Game filming and editing. Partners include Stronger Team, Alleyoop Australia, The Black Agency LLC.

Junior Basketball Coaching Career

Danny started coaching as an Assistant Coach with the Dandenong Rangers Junior Program, one of Australia's most elite programs before moving to Queensland, he briefly returned for 1 season in between professional appointments.

In 2007 Danny would return to junior coaching taking a position with Ipswich Grammar School in the GPS as Assistant Boy's Basketball Coach and taking on the day to day admin duties of the program, after 3 successful seasons Danny moved to Wellington, New Zealand where he coached at New Zealand Junior National Team Camps before returning to Australia in 2011.

Feature Films

Danny is credited as a Basketball Trainer, Assistant Basketball Coordinator and Actor as Head Coach of the Coasters Team in the upcoming feature film 'The Playbook', working alongside Hernando Planells of Coach Carter, Semi-Pro, Spiderman 3 and multiple other major movie productions.
