† Appearances (Goals).Daniel Tanveer "Danny" Batth (born 21 September 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a central defender. He is currently on loan at League One side Sheffield Wednesday from Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers. He is of Indian Punjabi descent.[1]
Career
Batth is a product of Wolverhampton Wanderers' academy, who signed professional forms in May 2009. He made his senior debut on 19 September 2009 on loan at Colchester United against Hartlepool, and remained with the U's for the rest of the 2009–10 season.[2] Batth scored his first professional goal in a 1–0 win over Oldham.
Batth made his Wolves debut in a League Cup win over Southend United in August 2010. Three months later, he went out on loan for a second time, when he joined Championship side Sheffield United on a one-month emergency loan, making one appearance.[3] He finished the season at another Sheffield side, as he was loaned to League One side Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of the campaign.[4]
On 26 July 2011, Batth again joined Sheffield Wednesday on a six-month loan deal, until 3 January.[5]
He is signed to Wolves until summer 2013.[6]
