Richard (Rick) Bogner (born January 16, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian professional wrestler; he is best known as the "second" Razor Ramon who debuted in the World Wrestling Federation as a replacement for the original man to use the Ramon gimmick, Scott Hall.

Career

Rick Bogner debuted in 1989, and immediately joined the Japanese Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling promotion as Big Titan. He won the FMW World Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship on January 15, 1992, defeating Atsushi Onita in Tokyo. Bogner's reign lasted just fifteen days before he lost to Tarzan Goto in Osaka on January 30. He later formed a tag team with fellow gaijin The Gladiator, and on January 18, 1994 in Misato, Saitama they defeated Atsushi Onita and Katsutoshi Niyama in a tournament final to become the first ever FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team champions. Their reign lasted until April 21, 1994, when they lost to Mr. Pogo and Hisakatsu Oya in Aomori.

In 1996, Scott Hall, better known as "Razor Ramon", left the World Wrestling Federation to join the biggest competitor to the WWF, World Championship Wrestling. The WWF retained the rights to the popular Razor Ramon gimmick (a Cuban character modeled after Tony Montana, the protagonist of the film "Scarface"), and after a while decided to have another wrestler portray Ramon. Bogner was introduced to the WWF by play-by-play announcer Jim Ross in late-1996 as Razor Ramon. He was joined by Glen Jacobs, who was identified as "Diesel", a character previously portrayed by Kevin Nash (who had also left for WCW that year). The intended storyline (which involved Ross introducing the obvious fakes as a way to embarrass Vince McMahon for past firings) didn't connect with fans who simply saw Bogner and Jacobs poor substitutes for the original Razor Ramon and Diesel. The Jim Ross heel turn, which also didn't work, was simply dropped almost immediately and, despite receiving a tag title shot at the December In Your House pay-per-view, the pair were pretty much done as of the Royal Rumble. While Jacobs, who was the last wrestler legally eliminated from the Royal Rumble match, was later repackaged as the Undertaker's brother "Kane" and went on to experience considerable success, Bogner was released.

After a one year spell in Extreme Championship Wrestling as Slice and Dice Ramirez, Bognar returned to Japan, where he joined New Japan Pro Wrestling and became a member of the heel nWo Japan stable as "The Free Spirit" Rick Titan. As a member of nWo Japan, Bognar occasionally wrestled alongside Scott Hall, the man he had previously impersonated. Bogner was a member of nWo Japan for several years, and remained in the stable after it was renamed Team 2000.

Earlier in the mid-90's he had appeared with WAR as Ti Do, an ally of Hiromichi "Kodo" Fuyuki, Gedo, and Jado.

In 2001, he opened a professional wrestling school in his hometown of Calgary with Bad News Brown. He ran the school until late 2003. He is now a Realtor in the Calgary Area.
