Dancing Mothers is a 1926 silent drama film, produced by Paramount Pictures, shot on Long Island, New York, in late 1925. It was directed by Herbert Brenon, starred Alice Joyce, Conway Tearle and Clara Bow. It went on distribution on March 1, 1926. It survives on 16mm.

Plot

Dancing Mothers is a tale of a pretty mother, who was almost cheated out of life by a heartless husband and a thoughtless daughter.[1]

Production notes

Dancing Mothers was a successful Broadway stage play by Edgar Selwyn and Edmund Goulding and Paramount reportedly bought the film rights for $45,000.[5] The shooting begun in November 1925 with the Peter Pan-star; Betty Bronson as "Kittens", but due to professional shortcomings she was replaced with Clara Bow.[5] [6] [7]
