Life and Work

In 1974, Daniel Winter received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Detroit.

From 1986 to 1995, based in Eden, New York, he did business as Daniel Winter And Friends and as Crystal Hill Farm as well as under other names. Thereafter he moved to Waynesville, North Carolina, where he did business as Circle of Life Health Center, Crystal Hill Multi-Media and San Graal Educational Foundation, Inc.. His business included creating, advertising, distributing, and selling various works in his own name in print, computer and video media on a variety of topics. Topics treated in his works included, among others, his personal ideas on sacred geometry and sacred alphabets, the wave nature of geometry and emotion, the psychodynamics of ecstasy, and the relationship of emotional coherence to the programming of the immune system, illustrated by his own computer graphics. He also sold modeling kits for geometrical objects such as polyhedra.

In the 1980's, he founded an alternative newspaper entitled the Network of Light. He established a learning center experiment in collective bio-harmony called Crystal Hill Farm. At Crystal Hill, he hosted conferences with a prolific list of presenters on varied topics from sacred geometry to sustainable ecosystems. He maintained an elaborate computer, music and video facility where his computer animated videos on sacred geometry and physics evolved. By the early nineties, he founded the San Graal School of Sacred Geometry and the Biodome Healing Center in Waynesville, North Carolina.

His theories in coherent emotion are comparable to the research at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo and the Heart Math Institute in California. Results published by Dr. Glen Rein provided conclusive evidence supporting Winter's heart entrainment theories. The effect of coherent ordering of the heart harmonics during the feeling of compassion was measured replicably effecting the braiding of DNA. In other words, he discovered that emotions directly affect our genetics.

Tenen v. Winter

Dan Winter had an encounter with U.S. copyright laws when, in a thesis on the golden mean spiral and its relationship to the ancient Hebrew alphabet, he began using the "flame letters" developed by Stan Tenen. In 1994, Tenen and the Meru Foundation accused Winter of plagiarism and a drawn-out court battle ensued. Winter eventually lost the case. By a court order of 2002, he lost his original website, which was considered invaluable by many in the New Age community. Winter also lost a considerable amount of money, namely the court costs for two separate actions. Meru and the Tenens did not sue for damages.[1]
