About
Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala A comedy based reality show, Comedy ka Maha Muqabala airs on STAR Plus every Saturday – Sunday at 9:00 pm. The show has four teams featuring some of the biggest names from films and television and is hosted by actress Jennifer Winget. Comedy ka Maha Muqabala was launched on March 19, 2011 and is produced by Reliance BIG Entertainment. The show ended on 11th June 2011 after its grand final episode. The winner,Shreyas Chi Mandli, was awarded Rs 50 Lakh.
Plot
The show takes the audience on a joy ride as every week four teams compete against each other to become the kings of comedy. The teams are captained by four stalwarts of comedy - Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Shekhar Suman and Shreyas Talpade - who perform with their team every week in a variety of challenges. In this battle of wits each team will comprise of well-known television celebrities, stand-up comedians and a debutant to the industry. In all, the show will have 20 contestants who will pit their wits to result in the ultimate delight of the viewers. Based on their performances, they are awarded scores by the audiences and the other captains. The team with the highest scores at the end of the week win the ‘Comedy Ka Sartaj!’

Show Format
- Round 1: Stand-up round (20 points) - 1 team member performs
- Round 2: Team round (20 points) - 2 or more team members perform together
- Round 3: Challenge round (10 bonus points) - 2 or more team members perform together (only top performance get 10 points)
- Round 4: Tag Of War(ToW) round (5 bonus points) - 1 member from each team performs together on a skit (only top performance get 5 points)(ToW replaced Stand-up round)
The break-up of 20 points is as follows:
- Audience average: 10 points
- 3 non-performing captains' average: 10 points
Note: Some rounds are conducted on a week.
