The Combined Heat and Power Association is an energy organisation based in the United Kingdom.



It is situated on Grosvenor Gardens (A302), near London Victoria station.


Members of the CHPA include:


It supports companies involved in cogeneration, which is sometimes referred to as district heating, whereby waste heat from power generation is used for heating. Smaller units are referred to as MicroCHP.

Many CHP schemes in the UK are found in hotels, hospitals, universities and leisure centres. The largest CHP plant in Europe is the Immingham Power Station.


It was founded in 1967 as the District Heating Association.
