CMRIT was founded in 2000 by CMR Jnanadhara Trust.It offers courses like B.E. in 7 areas, M.Tech. in 3 areas, MCA and MBA .
CMR Identity
The logo was collectively launched by CMR Jnanadhara Trust and the CMR Group of Institutions. While the rationale of the identity is rooted in Indian tradition. It is rendered in a contemporary form. Arepresentation of knowledge and learning the logo draws its inspiration from the Hansa, the Swan-a bird which is the carrier of the Goddess Saraswati – the Goddess of Learning.It is said that a Swan with its sensitive beak has the power of discrimination – an ability to distinguish pure milk from a mixture of milk and water – to distinguish between right and wrong, good andevil. This metaphorical quality of the Swan – of acquiring and applying Knowledge in a discerning manner (for overall good of mankind)appropriately symbolizes the vision of the CMR Group.The wings of the Swan rendered in the alternating flowing lines of blu and white, represent the metaphors of milk and water. The blue standsfor clarity of purpose and the white for purity of vision. The overall form of the logo radiates and sparkles in the calm, self contained posture of the Swan gliding in the water.
CMRIT has established itself as one of the leading institution in Bangalore. CMR Institute of Technology currently ranks 4th in terms of placement and has provided a record placement of 16.5 Lakhs in 2011.
