Career

Christian Bailey Owens started his first business, Mac Bundle Box, at 14.

Building upon previous successful ventures from companies like MacHeist, Owens bundled various Apple Mac applications and utilities to form one package to be available for a short time at a discount. Mac Bundle Box is alleged to have taken £700,000 in revenue since launching in 2008. Some of it going to the Developers. Christian Owens then launched his own pay-per-click internet marketing service named Branchr. Co-Founded with Entrepreneur Mark Bao .In 2011 Owens revealed on his Twitter social networking account that Branchr had shut down due to issues with advertisers using stolen credit cards on the network.[4].

In the summer of 2010 Owens began a new venture, VoteBundle that allowed potential customers to vote on what would be included in the bundle. The VoteBundle venture was acclaimed by the Apple community.[5] VoteBundle launched, and was the first democratic bundle of its type.[6]

After a number of miscellaneous projects, in December 2010, Owens started an expanding Mac Bundle Box with SwoopGrid an ad platform for Mac application deals. SwoopGrid makes certified traffic statistics publicly available via the analytics website Quantcast; these reports show that around a million people viewed the website monthly at its peak. This number has now dropped to under 5,000.[7]
