Cherry Ripe is a brand of chocolate bar currently manufactured by Cadbury Australia. Introduced by the Australian confectionery manufacturer "MacRobertson's" in 1924, it is now Australia's oldest chocolate bar and is one of the top chocolate bar brands sold in the country.[2] It consists of cherries and coconut smothered in Cadbury's Old Gold dark chocolate.

History

Cherry Ripe was one of the products offered by Australian confectionery manufacturer MacRobertson's; along with Freddo, Old Gold and Snack, after it was acquired by Cadbury in 1967.[3]The Cherry Ripe brand continued to display the former company's distinctive logo on its wrapper until 2002.[3]
