Châu Thành is a rural district (huyện) of Ben Tre province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003^[update] the district had a population of 167,472.^[1] The district covers an area of 229 km². The district capital lies at Châu Thành.^[1]

The district lies to the north of Bến Tre Province, to the north is the Tien River and the town of Mỹ Tho and the districts of Châu Thành, Cai Lậy in Tiền Giang Province. To the south is the Hàm Luông River and Chợ Lách District and Mỏ Cày District. The town of Bến Tre is southeast of this district.
