Kenyans are gaining expertise in the Actuarial profession, the course is currently offered in two universities in Kenya. i.e. Nairobi University and Maseno University.

Some of the companies that offer actuarial advices include ,Actuarial Services East Africa ( [http://www.actserv.co.ke] ) which specialize in actuarial advice,investments in Kenya and insurance advice.

There Law of Kenya defines an actuary as follows

“actuary” means - (a) a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in England or of the Faculty of Actuaries in Scotland or of the Society of Actuaries of the United States of America; or(b) such other person having actuarial knowledge as the Commissioner may, on application of a member of the insurance industry, approve;
