Plot summary

Samantha Madison, still teen ambassador to the United Nations, as well as dating the President's son, David, is worried David wants to take their relationship to the next level. She is still a semi-celebrity for saving the President's life. The President (only referred to as Mr. President) recently announced his Return to Family campaign. It includes plans to limit access to abortion and birth control. Samantha is faced with a huge dilemma when it appears that she not only condemns the Return to Family policy on an MTV special but also implies that she has had sex with David. During this time, Samantha’s sister Lucy is also conflicted because she has fallen in love with her SAT tutor, who does not return her ardor.

David invites Sam to Camp David for Thanksgiving weekend. Sam sees this as further proof that David wants to go the next level. In Camp David, Sam surprises David by telling him her suspicions about him wanting to have sex. He had not meant for them to, but they end up sleeping together anyway.
