Skåla is a mountain in Stryn, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. There are two summits, one at 1843 and one at 1848 meters above sea level (the latter sometimes called Stryneskåla).

Every year a race goes from the village Loen [http://www.skaala.no/Sk%E5la%20Opp/Om%20Sk%E5la.htm] .

kålatårnet/Kloumanntårnet

The tower at the top (1843 summit), called Skålatårnet ("Skåla tower") or Kloumanntårnet ("Kloumann tower" is built from rocks. The construction of the tower was initiated by doctor Hans Henrik Gerhard Kloumann from Innvik, as a means to cure tuberculosis, which was widespread in the late 18th century. The walls in the tower are 50 cm wide, and there are two floors. The tower is today accessible to the public, with 22 beds, and is being administrated by Bergen Turlag, a subsidiary of the Norwegian Mountain Touring Association [http://www.bergen-turlag.no/cabin.php?ca_id=153&fo_id=] .
