Hand Memorial United Methodist Church, HandUMC or Hand Church is a United Methodist Church located at 242 Hand Avenue - P.O. Box 424, Pelham, Georgia 31779, in the United States. Its office and fax numbers are 229.294.8390 and 229.294.9486.
Past
The Hand Methodist Episcopal Church, South began with brush arbor meetings in 1878 and one of its oldest buildings (containing the worship sanctuary and some classrooms) has been in continual use since 1918.
Present
Hand Church holds Bible School at 9:30 am and Worship 11:00 am on Sunday mornings and combines ways worshiping and discovering the presence of God at other times, such as contemporary services on 2nd Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm. Wednesday night activities (September through May) include Supper and Bible Study at 6:00 pm, Youth (high and middle school age) and "God's Gang" (elementary age) at 6:30 and Choir practice at 7:15 pm. Other regular activities include: Pre-School and Day Care for Children (weekdays 7am-6pm), United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, various small groups, circles and Sunday School classes that is co-ed, gender specific and age appropriate.
Future
Hand Memorial is beginning its third year in its Every Member In Ministry campaign, which endeavors to involve all members in meaningful ministries in the local church and missions beyond.
