Interuniversity Consortium for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies

The Montreal-based Interuniversity Consortium for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies (ICAMES) is a collaborative project of McGill University, the Université de Montréal, and Concordia University, together with associated researchers based at other institutions. Established in 1989, ICAMES promotes and facilitate research on the contemporary Middle East in Montreal and across Canada. It maintains both a website (http://www-icames-ciemo.ca) and the ICAMESNET email list on Middle Eastern Studies in Canada. Its main administrative and research offices are located on the McGill campus.

ICAMES is perhaps best known for its work on political reform, security, and development issues.
