A 1972 play written by Roy Minton and Directed by Alan Clarke.

Plot

Diabetic Horace Barry Jackson is mentally impaired and works in a joke shop. He befriends loner schoolboy, Gordon Blackett Stephen Tantum who retreats from his loveless home into an imaginary world.

First broadcast BBC 21ST March1972. 91mins.

Minton later adapted the play as a series of 6 x 30-minute scripts broadcast on Yorkshire Television.
